Bill Mead
Commercial Laundry Division Manager
Bill has been in the Laundry/Textile related business for over 30 years. Starting out in the 1980’s in quality control, excelling in his field due to his diligent attention to details and his color depth perception. Working 15 years in the manufacturing industry processing up to 500,000 lbs. of fabric a week through the bleach and dye facilities. As the 80’s progressed, NAFTA began the decline of textile mills manufacturing in the USA. Due to the declining textile industry, Bill then transitioned to the hotel laundry industry. Bill's first laundry processed 12M+ lbs. per year. After 24 years in the northern factories and his first five years in the laundry industry of Pennsylvania, Bill felt the lure of warmer weather calling — and off to Florida his adventures began.
Bill excelled in large scale 4-5 Star resort laundries as a result of his textile manufacturing background. Bill took advantage of his textile manufacturing knowledge/leadership and continued to improve laundry efficiencies, processes and procedures. (Bill referred to Hotel Laundries as, “It’s like a walk in the park” after doing 12M lbs. a year for nine years in a manufacturing facility). Bill also focused on staff engagement, resulting in boosting hotel scores dramatically while improving customer service. Without great teams, great leaders are not made.
Always remembering the customer, guest and the bottom line is what this is all about. Proactively encouraging, leading and ensuring the team that does all the work is respected, well taken care of and provided the tools they need to be successful in their roles of providing hygienically clean linens to a dirty world.

Viridianna Madrigal
Bluffton Resort Division Manager
Besides having the prettiest name in the Company, Viridianna Madrigal ("Dianna") came to Housekeeping Services in 2006 as a housekeeper. During her time with HKS, Dianna has grown and progressed through rolls as an Inspector, Supervisor, Project Manager, and ultimately Division Manager. Recently, the three properties Dianna manages received three of the top sixteen housekeeping scores in the world for that customer. Her team says she's organized to a fault, stubborn in the defense of doing things correctly, picky and exacting. We just say she's terrific at what she does.

Jara Uscanga
Residential/Janitorial Division Manager
As an unusually precocious twenty one year old, Jara is another “risen through the ranks” member of the management team, and the youngest Division Manager in the history of the Company.
Jara came to work at Housekeeping Services after her graduation from May River High School, and made an immediate impression with her positive energy, her remarkable organizational skills and her unyielding attention to customer service. Jara loves to be busy and involved, and her focus and energy is on growing and improving the Residential Division.
We all appreciate her work ethic, her generous spirit, and her continuing thirst for knowledge and new ideas. We know we are just “renting” Jara, as she is intent on saving money to ultimately pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing, but we love riding shotgun with her on her journey.

Orlando Arias
Resort Housekeeping North End Villas Division Manager
Perhaps our most well rounded manager, with years of experience in safety and security, engineering, food and beverage, activities, and housekeeping, Orlando brings that wealth of experience and an extremely positive attitude to each project assigned to him. Every time something new comes up and we look for a person to lead it, Orlando is the first to volunteer. In several discussions with potential new customers, they have asked for Orlando by name to lead their projects—indicative of his reputation within the industry. Orlando is also the only person in the Company to actively train for triathlons, although in fairness no other person in the Company has ever shown any interest in participating in triathlons.

Jose Barroso
Resort Housekeeping Shelter Cove Division Manager
Having a passion for resort housekeeping is uncommon at best, but it’s the guiding motivation for Jose. With a degree in business administration, Jose has spent the last seventeen years in various resort housekeeping positions for Marriott and Wyndham, and joined HKS to head up the Resort Housekeeping Sea Pines Division. His business philosophy is simple—excellent customer service is the basis of all good business relationships, and a leader’s role is to communicate well with his team and train each team member to become better at their positions and guide them to become leaders themselves.

Iris Hernandez
Resort Housekeeping Shelter Cove Division Manager
Inside the halls of Housekeeping Services, there are many stories of people rising through the ranks, excelling at each position they are assigned, and working their way into upper management. Iris is one of those stories. Beginning as a housekeeper, and being subsequently promoted to inspector, supervisor, team leader, assistant manager, and finally division manager, Iris has learned every facet of resort housekeeping, and uses those skills to motivate her team to deliver an exceptional product. Iris’s customers love her, and we all love her commitment to balance work and family while being ambitious enough to want to manage on an even larger scale.
